FSX Flights - Berlin to Nice to Barcelona; Glasgow to Keflavik; Newark to Montreal

Another multi-leg flight with a couple interesting airports to land at.  Of course they are coastal airports.  Nice looked like a cool set of runways and turned out they were.  Set in a small bay with two parallel runways both requiring approaches over water.  Barcelona is also very close to the water about a half mile inland.  I used my British Airways Olympics paint scheme Airbus 319 for the trip.  These Airbus 319 and 320s are fantastic aircraft to fly.

Altitude: 26000ft
Speed: 300kts
Distance: 984 miles
Flight Time: 3 hrs
Landing: Nice = Rwy 4L ILS approach; Barcelona = Rwy 7L ILS approach

These were probably two of my best landings ever.  Both ILS approaches.  I hit near center line on both and Nice was an especially soft landing.   I would pat myself on the back but the plane does most of the work.

Nice coming in over water

Loved this over the wing view...reminded me of many times I've sat there.

Now regular view at Barcelona

My next flight from Glasgow to Keflavik was a bit boring but always like the 757.  Having been to Iceland recently I like the Icelandair fleet and decided to land at Keflavik, Iceland.  Its a big airport meaning long runways and taxiways.  Ran into a bit of weather descending into Iceland.  Airport was wet but had stopped raining during landing.

Altitude: 30000ft
Speed: 320kts
Distance: 840 miles
Flight time: 2 hr 11min
Landing: Rwy 20 ILS approach

Landing was nice with a small adjustment before touchdown.  Looks like the left tire hopped a very tiny bit.  And a little left of center.

Nice view from behind on landing

Finally the flight from Newark to Montreal.  I originally was going to use the Embraer 145 but I found a great MD-83.  So I decided to give a trial run on this short flight.  I was not disappointed.  This MD-83 is great in both the virtual cockpit but flight characteristics.  Even has working wipers.

Altitude: 19000ft
Speed: 295kts
Distance: 331 miles
Flight time: 1hr 10min
Landing: Rwy 24L ILS approach

Landing this bird for the first was a tad tricky.  The ILS approach helped with lining up the runway but ended up flaring the nose a bit too much at the end as you will see. And again left of center line.
