FSX Flights - Santa Catarina to Rio De Janeiro, Reno to Las Vegas, London City to Shannon Ireland

Kind of a hodge podge of flights with varying locations and aircraft.  First off I used the Spirit Airlines A319 taking off from Santa Catarina, as small island airport off of Brazil.  Rio's airport has some interesting approaches as it kind of sits on an island just off of the city.  A couple of the approaches come in low over the city so it provided a nice challenge.

Altitude: 25000ft
Speed: 310kts
Distance: 471miles
Flight Time: 1hr 27 min
Landing: Rwy 10 ILS Landing

Landing was pretty nice.  Hit the center line quite well.  I think the right wheel touched a bit before the left but that is ticky tacky.

Nice view of the plane and mountains in background

Tower View

Next we have the flight from Reno/Tahoe to Las Vegas.  From one gambling mecca to another.  Flight started out at dusk and I decided to use the Allegiant Air MD-83.  Always enjoy the MD-83 and I can see why pilots like the MD series of planes.

Altitude: 28000ft
Speed: 305kts
Distance: 345 miles
Flight Time: 1hr 11min
Landing: Rwy 25R ILS Landing

Unfortunately we were given clearance to land on the runway farthest from the Strip but it still provided some nice views of the casinos.  Landing was pretty nice.  Had to dip the nose a tad then bring it back up for touchdown.  Landed just a tad right of the center line.  And yes that 737 took its sweet time getting off the runway.

A view I don't show often. The takeoff from Reno. And yes I bumped the pause button...oh well

Landing in Vegas

Finally the short flight from London to Shannon Airport in Ireland.  I recently got the BaE 146-200s and like taking them out for a spin.  London City Airport is always interesting to take off from since its smack dab in the center of London.  Only small aircraft like this British Airways BaE 146 can take off from this airport.

Altitude: 19000ft
Speed: 300kts
Distance: 388 miles
Flight Time: 1hr 17min
Landing: Rwy 24 Visual Approach

Landing was a bit of an adventure.  I was waved off on the first run.  So I had to re-establish myself back around again.  Landed a tad hard.  Although that seems to be the norm with this aircraft.  And landed a tad wobbly.

Some nice Irish scenery
